THE TOP SECRET BIGOT PLANS
This map is taken from the detailed 1:25,000 series prepared by the Geographical Section General Staff
for the D Day Invasion.These Bigot Maps were classified at the highest level of secrecy, and were updated with aerial and intelligence information to the 19 May less than 3 weeks before the actual landing.
These maps are packed with details much of it obtained by the local Resistance and show the terrain obstacles and defences that the Allied forces expecte to meet.They will be of great interest to historians and to all who are interested in tracing those historic days.
Map covers the area around St Aubin-sur-Mer and Langrune-sur-Mer.
It includes an introduction by Tony Painter.

It was the scene of the heroic glider landings that have been called "the greatest feat of flying of WWII". The map is double-sided and covers the area from Ouistreham in the north, southward to Herouvillette, and westward to Cazelle.
