This letterhead is one of many sports and news related items from this lifelong collection.

Authentic, original typed fundraising letter from Albert Einstein on the letterhead of the Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists with original mailing envelope.

The Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists was comprised of many of the original men of the Manhattan Project, whowere now campaigningAGAINST the use of atomic energy and the weapon they themselves had created.

It is generally believed that these Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists letters bear an Autopen signature of Albert Einstein, however, this letter appears to have an actual signature executed in blue fountain pen, and does vary from the signatures on other Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists letters.

The stationary measures 8 1/2" by 11", the envelope measures 4 1/4" by 9 1/2" and is imprinted with the Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists address.

The letter is addressed to Mr. Robert Williams at the office of the Morning Call, 33 Church St., Paterson, N.J.

Condition is good, no damage, some very slight creases.
