1947 Ole Miss Vs. Kentucky Football Program, Paul Bear Bryant:
Up forsaleis an original college football program from the 1947 game between Ole Miss and Kentucky. This was an Ole Miss home game but it doesn't say where it was played. Probablyat famed Crump Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee due to the abundance of Memphis ads. This was the first game of the season (Sept 20) in what was legendary coach Paul Bear Bryant's second year as the head coach at Kentucky. Three years later he would win Kentucky's first SEC title. He had a decent quarterback this year at Kentucky in future Hall of Famer George Blanda (who is pictured in program).Thisvintage football program is in good condition with some darkening to the spine and the cover loose from the base to thelower staple. Pages are smooth and crisp and are held tight by the staples. Nice vintage ads including Coca Cola and numerous Tobacco ads. The last photo shows two other Alabama football programs from the 40s being offered this week.Be sure to check out my other items listing this week.
