VINTAGE ROLDAN BELLHOP CHARACTER DOLL

.Wonderful vintage 1950s poseable cloth character doll measuring approximately 8-1/2" tall and about 7" wide. Featuring a smiling bellhop, he is carries an abundance of vacation-related items including a striped cloth over cardboard hatbox with bow, tennis racket, bag with golf clubs, umbrella, suitcase with leather straps and even felt labels, a purse or carry bag, a green parrot in wire cage and even a Terrier dog with glass eyes on leash wearing a big bow!

Sporting traditional fitted double breasted button front jacket with high collar, side banded pants and even a little cap with chin band set at a jaunty angle on his tightly coiled floss hair, he stands on felt bottom shoes with shiny black tops. Looking so pleased with a sideways glance, his eyebrows are pointed typical of Roldan and Klumpe - face is molded cloth over paper mache and he bears the original paper label marked ROLDAN BARCELONA ESPANA.

Condition is very nice with no discoloration, tears, separation or staining - there is a pin point hole on his lapel - think his name tag is missing - no other accessories are missing and I can find absolutely no damage. Wonderful action and an adorable face, doll was created in Spain for the tourist trade - this is a more elaborate style with all the individual accessory pieces. Just a wonderful vintage doll in fantastic condition - nice addition to any collection or display!
