1950's Madame Alexander 15" H. P. Treena Ballerina Doll . Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
She is not marked, but does Madame Alexander dress tag. She is pictured on page 92 of "Madame Alexander Collector's Dolls" by Patricia Smith as Treena Ballerina, see last photo. I measure her to be 14 3/4" but the book says 15".
She is beautiful and her outfit is also beautiful.
She has a dark blonde widows peak wig which holds its original set, has 1 rubber banded ponytail on each side, pulled up and back, held together with wire band. Rest of hair is a pageboy.
Bodice is pale pink satin with 3 snaps and has tuille cap sleeves. The bodice has a few scuffs. There is a pink flower on left shoulder as well as the Madame Alexander label. There is a wire and faded leaf at the waist, flower is missing. There are 2 sad clusters of flowers on the tutu. Tutu has 2 layers of pale pink tuille, attached separate Bright Pink net ruffle petticoat. There is a tear in the back of petticoat and 1 small hole in front. Separate pale pink trunks, have relaxed elastic, and silver snap probably added by previous owner.
Pink satin ballet slippers tied in pink ribbon.
Greenish brown glass sleep eyes with full upper lashes, a closed mouth and pale blushing cheeks. Her facial coloring is very good. Minor marks on face.
1950's Madame Alexander: Book says face either Maggie or Margaret.
She is jointed at neck, shoulders and hips. Straight legs. She can still hold a pose. There are no cracks or split seams and all of her fingers and thumbs are intact.
