This true vintage 1950\'s era tartan red plaid flap pocket shirt is in EXCELLENT original condition with NO holes, tears, fading, stains or odors. It features two (2) chest flap pockets, stitchless top collar, pleated rear yolk, ALL of the original plastic buttons including the smaller top collar button w/ matching fabric loop and stitched horizontal button-holes. ALL of the seams and stitching are intact and ALL of the usual trouble areas such as : underarms, pockets, collar, hems and button-holes are problem-free !The inside cloth collar label is firmly attached and is from \"McGREGOR \" Hand-Washable - 100% DuPont Nylon and is sized as a men\'s vintage designation ML (Medium Large). Some of the actual measurements are:24 1/2\" across buttoned chest, lying flat, armpit to armpit
18 1/2\" across rear yolk, shoulder seam to shoulder seam
25 \" sleeve length from top shoulder seam to sleeve edge
30 1/4\" length from top of rear folded collar to bottom edge of shirtThe DuPont nylon material feels very much like a gabardine-rayon blend in that it is a very soft, medium weight fabric that feels and drapes just like that great vintage gabardine. If it wasn\'t marked on the label I would of thought it was made from a high quality gabardine material. The colors in the typical Tartan plaid (red-green-gold-blue-black & creme) are bright and vivid and the tailoring craftsmanship is excellent!
