SO SORRY FOR THE DELAY IN COMPLETING MY sales THIS WEEK; IT WAS UNAVOIDABLE. Here are some additional details about the Circus Parade for sale this week. It measures 11 1/2 inches or 29 centimeters long and it is complete and all original. It is in excellent, lightly played with condition. This is one of the best know of the great TPS circus toys and it is a delightful toy. When wound the parade travels forward, the ears of the elephant appear to wiggle. I think that the separate elements behind the elephant are supposed to spin but I don't really see that with the exception of the ferris wheel like form. It circles around sometimes, and sometimes it does not. I am not sure that it is working as well as it should, according to a reference book description. . If all the individual elements are supposed to have a separate movement, then I would think it will need a little adjusting. The tin litho is in very good shape, bright and glossy; with some small scratches and nicks. The windup motor appears to be quite strong. The last photo shows the toy as pictured on page 67 of the wonderful TPS reference book Japanese toys Amusing Playthings From the Past.
