1950's -1960's Comoy's Blue Riband Bulldog Pipe * Coopersark No Reserve:
THIS IS A (10)TEN-DAY(10), , AND INTERNATIONAL COLLECTIBLE BRIAR PIPE sale.PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VIEW ALL OF THE OTHER BEAUTIFUL, NEW, OR FULLY RESTORED AND RECONDITIONED HIGH GRADE COLLECTIBLE PIPES THAT I HAVE LISTED FOR sale THIS WEEK ON You are offerding on a formerly enjoyed condition, 1950's to 1960's production, Comoy's "Blue Riband" graded "Bulldog" shaped pipe that was hand crafted by the Comoy's Pipe Company of London, England. The high contrast stained dense straight grain that surrounds the bowl is magnificent in its appearance. This pipe is stamped with a "9".
The overall balance feels perfect as does the hand feel. The draft is nice and easy. A pipe cleaner will effortlessly glide to the bottom of the bowl.
Here are the dimensions of this timeless classic: The overall length is about 5.455". The bowl height is 1.70". The Tobacco chamber is about 0.825" in diameter, and tapers down the bowl's 1.50" inner depth. Capacity is similar to that of a Group 4 size Dunhill pipe. The weight is 36 grams. The Comoy's pipe sleeve is included.
I have carefully, meticulously, and thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, polished, rejuvenated, and restored this pipe to a clean condition both inside and out. The bowl stampings can all be clearly read. They just did not photograph very well. The stem does show evidence of former buffing wear, and the front inside rim of the bowl is slightly out of round due to some former charring damage. None the less, this is a gorgeous ultra high grade beautifully grained briar from one of the best English pipe makers in their "hey day"! It is ready to immediately enjoy right out of the box!
Once again, this is a (10)TEN-DAY(10) pipe sale. I do not believe in "Reserve" or "Buy it Now" prices. I want the lucky high buyer to own and enjoy this pipe and not have him frustrate himself with offerding on a pipe that is not attainable on a price basis! Just be the high buyer at the close of this sale, and you will win what could again prove to be the best pipe in your collection!
