1950s Vintage Danish Modern Teak Stool Chair Ottoman Hans Wegner Mid Century For Sale
Teak Foot Stool / Ottoman - Denmark, c. late 1960sPlease read our payment terms below prior to offerding, thank you.This vintage piece came out of a home in Denmark and clearly was a take on the Hans Wegner Papa Bear ottoman / stool. It is a cool design with its minimalist lines and would make an nice compliment to any Danish modern chair / décor.The piece is constructed out of solid teak (handles and legs) with black leather like vinyl upholstery. It is supported by 4 teak taper legs which will unscrew for shipping. If the seat color is not for you, this is a very simply DIY upholstery project that you can do in about 15 min with any style / color fabric of your choice and a staple gun.measurements21" wide by 11 5/8" deep by 15" high at the sides (14.5" high in the middle)conditionThis shows a fair amount of age and wear, so if you are looking for absolute perfection, its not for you. It sits solid and is very usable. The teak has a very nice aged patina that only decades of time can produce. Vinyl shows some surface age (easy to recover). The legs do not sit at perfect matching angles to one another. They all screw in tight and function fine, so its just an esthetic thing. This is due to expansion and contraction in the wood and while nothing offensive to the overall look, if you are super picky about that kind of stuff, again, not for you.
