1950's Ben Franklin Store Display
Colors areorange, black and white. Size 34-1/2" wide x 11" high. "Oct, Nov, Dec 51" is written in the corner on the back. There's a fold (not a crease) in it. We believe if it were behind glass, it would not be noticeable.
Five & Dime "Ben Franklin" Stores began opening in small towns across America in the 1920's. They were named after Benjamin Franklin because of his quote "A penny saved is a penny earned". This display is from a Ben Franklin Store thatwas located in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. The store changed owners over the years until, sadly, it's doorspermanently closed.
