1952 Tokheim 39 Gas Pump Restored Fully Functional Phillips 66 Harley Davidson:
This a fully restored 1952 Tokheim Model 39 short that is fully functional. Unlike most reproductions and restored pumps that just have lights this one operates just as it did in the gas station 50 years ago (it just doesn’t pump gas!). To operate the pump you lift the nozzle off its perch, raise the chrome arm, and then squeeze the trigger on the nozzle and voila – the gallon counter spins, the bell rings every gallon, the red flow spinners actually spin, and the total price numbers rotate according to the gallons pumped and the price per gallon programmed into the “computer” (currently set at 29.9 cents per gallon). Once the trigger is released and the nozzle hung up, gallons and total amount are frozen until the reset crank on the opposite side of the pump is engaged. And of course the lights in the globe and on the faces are operational.
This pump has been disassembled and completely refurbished. All of the sheet metal and frame have been sand-blasted, epoxy primed and painted with automotive grade urethane paint. Chrome parts have been replated, while the aluminum and stainless steel parts have been polished to a high luster. The two faces are original and in immaculate condition. Glass, hose, globe, “leaded” signs, reset handle, and data plate are nice reproductions. The data plate is stamped with all of the exact data from the original data plate.

The pump is painted orange and black and can be furnished with any color coordinated globe and decals that you wish. I have the Phillips 66 globe and decals, and the Harley Davidson globe and decals as pictured in my possession. Other orange and black combinations include Clark, “That Good Gulf”, Lion(orange not red), Studebaker, Diamond D-X, Hudson Regular, Johnson Gasolene, Sunray, SuperTest, and two other Phillips 66, to name a few. You can find more online at Vics66 or Gas Pump Heaven.
Gas pump is available for inspection at most any time. If you have questions please ask before you offer. If you want to speak to me by phone, please send your phone contact info and best time to call. Item is listed as pick-up only but I will be available if you want to have a shipper pick it up – it weighs about 200 pounds.
Pump is meticulously restored and all electrical and mechanical are done to the highest standards, but it is not UL approved. It is also not a toy for unsupervised children to be playing with. There is hasp on the side door that can be padlocked to keep the control unreachable. Custom black platform on casters is included.
I have this advertised locally and thus reserve the right to end the sale early if sold.
