The train crushed into the opposite train on the single-track railway - bridge in Heutingsheim/Wurtemberg between Ludwigsburg and Backnang. The engine - driver of the passenger train was jammed into the locomotive stand and died of the severs injuries . The stoker still hovers between life and death. 30 injured passengers were brought into the neighbouring hospitals.Photo measures 8 x 6inches. Photo is dated 2-3-1953.
