SPISA RIBB RECTANGULAR SERVING 11 5/8 inches long X 4 1/4 inches wide X 1 1/8 tall Spisa Ribb is one of Stig Lindberg's most classic designs of the 1950's that has kept its popularity through the years, it was made for the H55-exhibition in Helsingborg 1955. Spisa Ribb was introduced together with the oven-safe service Terma and they were meant to be used together. The service was manufactured until 1974, though some pieces remained in production until 2000. The porcelain in the service is fragile, and many pieces have chipped. It maintains an amazingly modern look and an elegant form, typical of Lindberg's great design.
Long, low and rectangular with a playful striped design, this serving dish was originally meant to go from oven to table, and would look fantastic mixed with other mid century pieces. In excellent shape, with a couple of the teeniest bites to the lip that do not disturb, there are no scratches in the glaze at all,
it remains bright, clean and appears unused.
Please study the photos carefully as they are part of the description.Stig Lindberg, (1916-1982), was one of Sweden's most important post-war designers and illustrators, he created whimsical ceramics and graceful tableware during a long career with the porcelain company THANKS FOR LOOKING!SHIPPING:
