Up for sale is this great vintage Walt Disney Davy Crockett leather store display that was manufactured by W.L. Stensgaard & Associates of Chicago, Illinois. From the research I\'ve done on this piece I\'ve found it appeared in their 1955 catalog. The display is quite large measuring approximately 53\" by 41\" at the tallest and widest points. The image of Davy Crockett is still bright and colorful especially the blue eyes. Above the image of Davy it reads \"Walt Disney\'s Official\" and below it reads \"Davy Crockett, (Fess Parker). On the left near the very bottom There is a copyright symbol and Walt Disney Productions while on the right is the name of the manufacturer and Made In USA.

The piece is in good vintage condition but does have some flaws, the most noticeable being a stain or dark spot just to the right of Davy Crockett\'s head. There is also a dark spot on the left edge. There are several other small dark spots around the image and some tiny tack holes along the top and upper edges. The back also has the dark spot that appears on the front and is a little darker at the top with some stripes in it that I think were probably from tape used to hold it up. There are also some old mildew spots on the back. There is a rough area in the leather across the face but it really isn\'t that noticeable. The leather is still in good condition with some tiny tears around the edges but there isn\'t any dry rot. Overall the piece still displays quite well as I think you should be able to see in all of the images provided below. I\'ve had this piece about 16 years if my memory serves me right and had always intended to have it framed but just never got around to it. It would make a great focal point for any Davy Crockett collection especially if it were framed.
