Brown Haired, 1956 Modernistic Papier-Mache Caroling Boy Angel.

Dick Wicken embossed on back. He was a native of Shorewood, Wisconsin, and was a noted sculptor. He did work for the Miller Brewing Company, sculptors on the doors of Soldier's Field in Chicago, works for the Milwaukee Athletic Club, and did many other noted works. He was of Norweigan origin.

In his leisure time, he created Christmas pieces like this one. His first was a doll modeled after his daughter. Then he astonished the Sketch Club of Milwaukee by modeling a monk singing a Christmas carol while giving a talk and demonstration on sculpting. Thus, he continued on with creating such figures as you see here. He died suddenly in 1972. A great Milwaukee, Wisconsin artist.

Blue robe, with white wings, touched with gold.

The head is molded separately and is removable.

I have always enjoyed those blushed cheeks.. so neat!

There is nothing wrong with this Christmas Angel other than age. These being listed today are in very good shape. They are vintage, not reproductions. I guarantee that. I start all my sales at .99 cents as it is an sale and I just never cared when I went to live sale and the saleeer started very high, and then spent time backing down to get a offer.
