Thank you for looking at my sale. You are offerding on one of the rarest of all Gillette safety razors; the 1956 Gillette Toggle. What sets this razor apart from its other Toggle brethren? For starters, it only has 5 adjustment settings instead of the 9 settings on the more widely known and mass produced variety.  Another unique feature is the ability to either open completely to change out the blades by flipping the red dot on the toggle away from you or to partially open for rinsing off lather and quick adjustment by flipping the red dot towards you. The Toggle is a rare razor, and the 1956 model is the rarest of the rares. Sometimes affectionately called the \"prototype\" Toggle, this particular model was only made for a short time, and each one has a unique serial number printed on the bottom of the baseplate. This particular razor is number 4039. Couple other notes about this model. Unlike other adjustable safety razors the movement on the adjustment dial is smooth between the numbers, 1 to just about 5, instead of clicking between each one. Also, the baseplate of this toggle has a design more like that of the Gillette \"Fat Boy\" than the rest of the Toggle family.Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have and I will answer them to the best of my ability.
