This is an original souvenir program from The Biggest Show of Stars for ’57. This was a concert tour that starring Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Lavern Baker, Bill Doggett, Clyde McPhatter and other talent. This program is a large magazine format of 24 pages plus the covers measuring about 12” x 9”. This program has lots of photos of the stars involved along with bios and information about the performers. Most of the photos have facsimile signatures.
This concert tour was organized by Irvin Feld showcased African American music talent in the late 1950s. The tour was a big success and another tours was organized for the fall of 1957 that included Buddy Holly among others. Talent featured in this program includes Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Lavern Baker, Bill Doggett, Clyde McPhatter, Five Keys, Ann Cole, Moonglows, Five Satins, Charles Brown, Eddie Cooley & Dimples, The Schoolboys and The Paul Williams Orchestra.
This program is a vintage original from the 1957 tour. The program is fully complete and well intact with just some modest wear and a few small spots on the covers. Overall condition is very good. Email any questions. Thanks for looking.
