are offerding on a vintage original circa 1958 - 1960 plastic pin-up girl form vintage letter opener in the original display envelope.
A sexy image by Gil Elvgren who designed this early plastic letter opener entitled
“Here’s an Eye Opener”
This was produced by Brown & Bigelow between
1958-1960, and this one is in unused mint condition including the original sleeve on card stock. This fun 3D
letter opener, is conceived in “accurate” curvy detail and measures 8. 5″ x 2. 5″ at it’s
widest point. The folding sleeve which creatively ‘undresses’ Ellen our
pin-up model measures 8. 5″ x 7. 25 when opened & is in excellent shape with no
tears or visible toning.
The medallion she is holding above her head has the name
of an individual business – in this case from “Johnnys - Signs and Neon” – this was manufactured & used as customer giveaways.
