Wow! This 1960 Singer Featherweight 222K free arm sewing machine is in simply excellent condition. Truly an outstanding example of this machine. Owned by a little old English lady who only sewed on Sunday's! Made in Great Britian. Serial number on bottom has been traced to the 1960 production line. Look, I am a guy and I have NEVER sewn in my life and I set up the machine and I sewed up that goofy tiny pillow case (in the photos) after just 15 minutes of perusing the original manual, included with the machine. I had no idea sewing was that much fun, so I sewed some canvas, some leather and part of a towel. Worked great! No damage, no chips, no cracks. The stitch length lever works fine. Includes the lower bobbin. Comes with a bunch of accessories - see the photos because I don’t know what you do with any of these things (there is a ruffle maker and an embroidery hoop in there among other things.) It even has the original keys to the storage box. Three extra bobbins, some needles too. The ONLY funky thing I can find involves the rubber wire relief that comes out of the back of the foot switch. It looks like the rubber has shrunk with age so the relief is able to come out of the hole in the foot switch. Doesn’t affect the functionality at all. Looks like the previous owner put on an after-market, fine Japanese serrated tooth drive belt. Foot switch operates throughout its range, motor operates smoothly. I had to take the sole plate off to re-align the lower bobbin and in doing so I noticed that the interior looks extremely clean. The numerous, large, high quality photographs included below this listing are an integral part of this description. Please study them carefully and ask questions if you feel you are not seeing what you need to see.
