Here is one of the absolute COOLEST beer signs I have ever offered! Here is a 50+ year old Hamms Ice Skating BEAR lighted MOTION beer sign from the 1960s! This one is AWESOME! It is made by Hamms Beer and is one of the most AWESOME signs you will ever find! They make NOTHING that compares today and odds are, never will again!

This one is amazingly COOL! It has blue letters on the front that say "From the land of sky blue waters" with small lettering along the bottom edge saying " Item #214 Theo. Hamms Brewing Company St. Paul, MINN, San Francisco, and Los Angeles CALIF. The bottom of it says LA GOODMAN (with the address) CHICAGO 21, Illinois.

I am not sure the exact year this one was made but I know it is 1963 or older. On July 1st 1963 the Postal Service implimented zip codes. It may surprise you to learn that postal zones were instituted in 1943 during WWII. You may have noticed that many addresses during the period between 1943 and 1963 had a one or two digit number following the city name. These numbers were postal zones. (hence the #21 Chicago on this maililng label) A little history lesson for you! SO, this sign was definitely made 1963 or earlier.

This one measures approx 17" across by 8" deep by 9"high. Item is made of translucent plastic with a cardboard backside and there is a small light bulb which illuminates the snow below the Bear and motorized mechanism inside that makes him skate and operates the flipping panels. This one is super cool.

Now for the COOL part! When plugged in, the panels behind the bear flip back and forth to reveal 2 scenes. One shows a bottle of Hamms Beer being poured into a frosty glass and the other scene is a picture of a foaming glass of Hamms Beer. When the panels are turning the letters "COOL" appear on the background. As the panels rotate, the Hamms Bear skates back and forth in a semi-circle and turns around at each end. This is SO COOL and they make NOTHING in comparison these days!

This would be the perfect compliment to your vintage Hamms SCENE-O-RAMA or Panoramic Rippler (or any) vintage Hamms sign. I have personally owned no less than 12 Scene-O-Rama signs. This is the VERY FIRST one of these I have EVER even seen in person! I dont think they made many of them and due to the FRAGILE nature of these, I imagine FEW of them survived! If you take good care of this I am sure it will only go UP in value!

PLEASE NOTE! If you look at the word HAMMS on the top of the sign, part of the letter S on Hamms is missing. OTHERWISE, this sign looks awesome! I am NOT trying to nit pick the sign, I just like to be honest. If you are looking for a perfect, flawless, or NOS sign, keep looking. This one has a little character but a BEAUTY! The little HAMMS part on the top could be removed fairly easily if you want to. ALSO, I would bet the Hamms guy in Minnesota may even reproduce the part. Stuff like this will never be reprouduced! If you take good care of this, it will only go UP In value! A great investment! These were made in the USA and are COOL!

A great item to display in your restaurant, shop, rec room, sports bar, man cave, or wherever you think you will enjoy it the most. It is a great way to wind down after a long day. You will enjoy this one for decades! Young people these days wont experience stuff like this unless they see it for themselves!
