1960s Super Rare Kosta Boda Art Glass Sculpture Erik Hoglund Mid Century Modern For Sale

SUPER RARE ORIGINAL MID CENTURY MODERN ERIK HOGLUND ART GLASS SCULPTURE, DESIGNED FOR SWEDISH FIRM KOSTA BODA, 1960's

Extremely rare green glass sculpture by Erik Hoglund, designer known for revolutionizing Swedish glass. Painter, sculptor and grafic designer Hoglund worked at Boda glassworks between 1953-73. During the period 1950-late 1970s he created more than 150 works of art for public spaces, not only glass but also wood, stone, bronze etc. In the late 70s he returned to glass designs, this time for Pukeberg, Pilchuk, Transjo, Ahus, Vrigstad and Strombergshyttan. Over the years we have handled many of Hoglund's designs, also a few of a smaller version of this sculpture, in clear glass - but we have never seen any in this deep green typical 'Hoglund'-color before.
