1970’s Freeman McFarlin Pottery Large Mushroom Figurine

This is a beautiful Vintage Pottery Mushroom figurine signed “Anthony © CALIF USA 370” (Maynard Anthony Freeman of Freeman McFarlin)

The Mushroom is 7½ inches tall and 10 inches in diameter. It is in very good condition with some crazing, minor surface scratches and a tiny paint glazing flaw, which measures about 3/16ths of an inch long (see the attached picture) and is very hard to find unless you are looking for it.

The Mushroom cap is finished with a mottled gloss coloring of Brown and Yellow as though the brown was painted over the yellow and the yellow is seeping through in some areas and all along the rim. The gloss coating gives a depth to the coloring The stem and underside of the cap are finished is matte black with light gray in the gill lines on the underside of the cap.
