1973 STERLING FRANKLIN MINT Thanksgiving PLATE WILD TURKEY LIMITED EDITION

This is a 1973 Franklin Mint Thanksgiving Plate "American Wild Turkey". The design is an original work of art created especially for this plate by the gifted artist Steven Dohanos.

The plate was individually etched in solid sterling silver by The Franklin Mint. In the paper work that is included, it states on the back of the plate is a sterling silver medallion which bears the plates serial number. I am leaving it up to the buyer if they want to dismantle the enclosed case to look on the back of the plate.

The library slipcase was designed for bookshelf storage or shelf display.

I don't think the plate was ever taken out of the slipcase that it is enclosed in. Burnt orange velvet material is around the plate.

This is how it would be shelf displayed.

Closed box measures 10-1/4" wide x 10-1/2" high x 1-3/4".

Would look like a book if stored on a book shelf.

Does have a split in the fold.

The outside cover is in very good condition.
