You are offerding on an original press photo from 1974 featuring The Rev. Samuel B. McKinney, pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church, spoke yesterday at the dedication of the Martin Luther King Early Childhood Education Center at 3201 E. Republican St. The school's kindergarten-though second-grade pupils assembled in the blocked-off street outside the former Benjamin Harrison School. The School Board renamed the building following ***** Mr. McKinney and his wife, Louise, ***** were longtime friends of the ***** leader. A letter from Dr. King's widow ***** was read. The program included pupil ***** recitations and songs. . Photo is 10” x 8” in size.
