1987 Franklin Mint Raj Chess Set British Indian Playing Pieces Complete Board Stand
Beautiful chess set crafted by Franklin Mint in 1987. The board and playing pieces were all factory sealed when we received them, and were opened only to take photos. The playing pieces, board, and stand are all in near perfect condition. The only issue is that over time, it seems that the adhesive holding the wooden lower half and upper pewter portion of several of the pieces has deteriorated. There is no damage to the pieces themselves, but they may need to be re-glued. The affected pieces at time of photographs were the British Knight, 2 British Pawns, Indian King and and Indian Rook. When fully constructed, the board measures 20 1/2" x 20 1/2" x 28" high. Playing piece height is around 3". All pieces include an identification sheet. We're also including an EXTRA Indian Queen playing piece. Certificate of Authenticity included. Don't pass up on the opportunity to own this amazing Franklin Mint chess set.
