1989 Authentic Hermes Paris Silk Ocean Sailing Scarf En Course Yannick Manier For Sale
Gorgeous authentic silk Hermes Paris scarf designed in 1989 by Yannick Manier. Wonderful design of sailing ships on the ocean with a border of nautical flags within the central frame. The outside border features silhouettes of men in red on a blue background displaying positions for flag signals. The title of this design is "en course" and is shown within the design. The hand-rolled edge is rolled towards the front of the scarf as is typical of authentic Hermes. The scarf does have some tiny spots splattered into the upper left corner. I have not attempted to clean these myself, so, can make no promises, but it is possible a professional cleaning could lighten, if not remove, the stains. There may also be some makeup smudges to the body of the design. It is hard to tell, as neutral tones are used as textural accents throughout the design. I would rather err on the side of including, than missing anything. Low starting price reflects condition.There is no sewn-in tag on this scarf, the name "Hermes Paris" and the artist's name are both worked into the design (see photos). Scarf measures 35 1/2" x 36". I am listing a second Hermes scarf today but do not specialize in them so please write to me with any questions you may have.
