This listing is for a signed 19th century Wilcox Silver Plate Company 6 piece tea and coffee set. The set includes a coffee pot, tea pot, a covered sugar bowl, creamer, waste bowl and a handled vase. The coffee pot measures 6 ¼ inches or 16 cm high, and is 8 inches or 20.5 cm wide from handle to spout.

The set is quite elegant in design and draws inspiration from the American Aestheticism movement. All the pieces have a hand hammered finish on the bodies and sit on a low round foot. The pieces also all have an engraved border on the rims which add to design. The teapot and coffee pot both have a raised leaf form on the insulated handles. The lids, spouts and handles are all smooth in contrast to the textured bodies. The bottoms are all marked “WILCOX SILVER PLATE CO QUADRUPLE PLATE MERIDEN CONN 168”. The set also has a single letter engraved monogram “G” on one side.
