This listing is for a very handsome pair of 19th century German tea and coffee pots by Carl Tielsch. The taller coffee pot measures 9 1/4 inches or 23.4 cm high to the finial on the cover and is 9 3/4 inches or 24.7 cm wide from handle to spout. The tea pot measures 7 3/4 inches or 19.6 cm high to the finial and is 11 inches or 28 cm wide from handle to handle. The tea and coffee pots have a retangular foot and rectangular lobed bodies. The handles are scrolling with acanthus leaves at the base of the spouts. The top rims also have an large scalloped rim with open work details. The porcelian is a high glaze white with heavy applied gold highlights. They are signed on the bottom \"TPM\" along with an eagle and dates the pieces to the late 19th century. The tall coffee pot is in very good condition with only some age appropriate wear to the gold and a small chip on the finial decoration, the tea pot has a large spider hairline on the bottom and gold wear as well.
