19TH CENTURY RUSSIAN SOLID SILVER BEAKER WITH ENAMEL DECORATION, BY OVNICHIKOV, MOSCOW

Description:
Highly collectable 19th century Russian beaker made in solid silver by Ovnichikov in Moscow. Unlike most of these pieces the decoration of this beaker is not only floral or geometrical, but it also sports pairs of heraldic birds. Although it is a bit difficult to read, it is marked on the base with the eagle, the standard (88 zolotnik), town (Moscow), assayer and silversmith (Ovchinnikov).

6cm (height) x 5.7cm (diameter)
Weight: 116gr

Condition:
Very solid condition, which is better illustrated by the pictures, some deterioration of the enamel. It used to have three feet, which are now missing. Please, see the attached pictures for a better illustration of its condition, and do not hesitate to ask me for more if you should need them.
