Fabulous antique French lady's sterling silver whistle for chatelaine or chain. The whistle has an all-over black niello enamel lattice and star pattern. The sides are open, made to be held between thumb and finger to close so whistle will work properly. Measures 1-1/4" long and the open side holes are 1/2" in diameter. There are tiny French hallmarks on loop end, purchased many years ago at Paris flea market. Sweet and rare!
