19th Century Maori Kotiate Club, Sword For Sale
Up for sale is a very fine early 19th century Maori kotiate club. These clubs were used for close quarters fighting and this is an excellent example. The face on the club was most likely added in the later 19th century. Excellent, rich patina overall. A fairly heavy piece made of marine mammal bone. 14" long by 6" wide.
