19th Century Pewter Teapot Signed By James Dixon & Sons 11"x9.5" A Great Bargain:
[B335]For sale in this sale is a superb pewter teapot with a wooden handle and pewter knob, and signed on the bottom by James Dixon & Sons who operated in London in the early 19th century, and who is quite well remembered for the style and workmanship of his wide array ofpewter wares. This pot measures nine and one half inches tall by eleven inches spout to handle. The patina is very clean and mildly bright with no eruptions and no damage to the metal. The ebonized handle has some wear to the paint. A very fine example of the work of one of London's finest pewterers. Thank you for visiting my sales and good luck to you in all your offerding. bdr
