Gorgeous late 19th century Rococo style inkwell decorated with repousse scene of cherubs or putti frolicking. Each inkwell is notched at the bottom and twists into place on the base. The lids of both inkwells are loose having broken solder joints to their hinges. Both inkwells are marked on bottoms with hallmarks for Hanau silversmiths Storck & Sinsheimer who operated from 1874-1926. Measures 6 ⅞” wide x 5in deep x 2.25in height. The weight without glass is 8.2 ozt. Condition: The lids of both inkwells sit loose on top of their respective wells both having broken solder joints to their hinges.
