This is an Impressive late 19th Century Art NouveaustyleSilver Plate Cigar / Tobacco Humidor made by the Meridan Britannia Company which ceased to exist in 1898. This Unique Piece features a lockable (no key) Humidor on each Side with access to the Sponge or Moisture Chamber in the center by small flip top doors on either side of the Art Nouveau style Lady Statue in the Center. As if the Statue, Size, Footed Base and Double Humidor weren't enough, this Beauty has Very Nice Art Nouveau Repousse style Floral Work on all sides. There is also nice Repousse work on the top featuring several Women though this has faded from years on use. There also may have been a torch or something small in the ladies hand but it's of little concern on this Impressive Humidor. There is also a very small dent on the top of one side. This old Humidor is as Solid as can Be and would make a Fabulous addition to any Desk or Office. You could always have it re-plated but I think it look great just as it sits.
We sold an ImpressiveHumidor from the R.J. Reynold Estate last Month but I think this one could easily give it a run for the money!
