Hubbed spine, acid neutral paper with page edges gilded, satin moire endpapers, and a satin ribbon book mark sewn in. Collector\'s note, certificate of authenticity and unused publisher supplied bookplate laid in (not attached). Issued by Easton Press signed by the author on the limitation page without inscription or personalization. Book number 209 of 1,050 copies issued by Easton Press as part of the Signed First Editions of Science Fiction series.
Synopsis: Jimmy Breslin is at the top of his form with this comic, wry novel about the downfall of a modern mob family. Inspired by the infamous mobster who shuffled around Greenwich Village in his pajamas so that he\'d be declared mentally incompetent and skip standing trial, Breslin gives us a new spin on a tale he learned from a life lived on the streets. He brings to life the mobster, his brother the priest, and his nephew Fausti who is trying as hard as he can to be clean. This is a vintage performance from one of our most celebrated writers.
Condition: Binding - near fine, a few slight flaws to the page edge gilding, otherwise like new. Dust jacket - none, as issued.

Note:Paying with a PayPal echeck (bank or other financial institution transfer) will delay shipping until PayPal informs us that the transfer has completed. This can take 4 or 5 days for US banks (occasionally longer) and up to 2 weeks for international (usually more like 11 days). Payment by PayPal funds or credit card gets immediate shipping.

We always ship in sturdy new boxes with premium heavy duty packing tape, bubblewrap and filler to keep the item away from the sides of the box, unless requested otherwise.

A Note On Customs:
When customs forms are required for a shipment, we fill them out honestly, stating that the contents are merchandise and giving the price you paid for the item (not including the shipping) as the value. Please do not ask us to do otherwise. Take any customs duty that you will have to pay into consideration before making your purchase.

Shipping History:
We have shipped well over 3,000 packages (containing more than 5,700 items), with more than 500 of those packages going to international destinations, since we started selling on in 2002. As of September 16, 2009, we have had only five packages reported as lost, three to U.S. destinations and two to international destinations (Australia and Spain - destinations we have also shipped to successfully many times). We have not had a report of a book damaged in transit since shortly after we started selling (it took us a couple of damaged shipments to learn not to pack books in boxes that were too tight a fit).
California Sales Tax
Items shipped to addresses outside California are not subject to sales tax.
Unless you are a reseller with a valid California Seller\'s Permit buying this item to resell, we are required by California law to collect sales tax for all items shipped to or delivered to addresses in California or picked up from our location.
The checkout system cannot handle the complexities of sales tax in California where the sales tax rate varies by where the item is being delivered. We have setup the shipping calculator to charge sales tax at 9.00% for those who do not want to wait for us to invoice you. If you wait for our invoice, we will adjust the sales tax to be correct for the location you say we will be shipping to.
California resellers need to provide us with your permit number before we can remove the sales tax from your invoice.
