Welcome to August !!!
Well, this is my THIRTEENTH year as an seller. It is hard to believe that so much time and so many of my goods have reached your collections from my years of collected goods. It is a lot of work to haul these goods out from the boxes and scan, photograph and prepare them for sale, but harder to let go things that have taken me all these years in Asia to accumulate. At least I will be able to have had the pleasure to gather them over the years and cherish the memories associated with their finding. I hope that all of you have been pleasedwith over 3700on my response. This is a pair of old clay pipes dug up in the fields in North Thailand and Burma border areas. The pipes have lotus blossom and phoenix designs on them for luck and long life. The pipes work and are intact except for minor chips. These come from fields when the farmers are digging up the fields for planting their tapioca. Many pipes and other pottery goods are broken. My friend gets his workers to be careful, so these are not damaged very much. They are 6.5 cm long ( 2.5 in) from stem end to bowl base edge, 3.3 cm ( 1.3 in ) tall at the bowl, and weigh 49 grams and 6.8 cm long ( 2.6 in) from stem end to bowl base edge, 3.2 cm tall at the bowl , and weigh 40 grams. They are 2 different styles, still usable; both being lotus flower blossom design, symbols of longevity in Buddhist culture in nice condition, and rare to find, having been very lightly cleaned after finding in the ground.
