Pair Vintage 1960s-70s RI Woonsocket Call Newspaper Boy Cotton Canvas Bicycle Bag

Nice Aged Condition w/ Rain Flap Padded Strap

I use to deliver this Newspaper in the era of when these Cotton Canvas Bags were made. The Newspaper is the Woonsocket Call published is Woonsocket R.I. and was a evening paper. The Bags use to fold over the handlebars of our bikes or could hang on the shoulder with the Padded Straps. The Bags are wide enough that the paper could fit in the Bag full size. Bag is just over 25" wide and 14" high not including the Padded Strap. And the front of the Bags says Woonsocket Call, since then they have changed the name to Just "THE CALL" and became a Morning Paper, Left the paper boys & girls out with School time. The Bags are in very good condition, some soiling and a bit of rust stains from the grommets through the bag strapping and very nice for a 40 or 50 years old newspaper boy / girl Bag. The Bags have their Original hang tags and although hard to read we can make out Pollack's Bags & Canvas MFG…..and bags both have their Original Rain Flap, No Wet Papers for this carrier. If you collect Woonsocket R.I. memorabilia, these are a must, or use them when you go out antique shopping or flea marking. Nice to have a matching set!! We have placed a number of pictures of these Newspaper Boy / Girls Bags for viewing and offered at No reserve
