2003-d Daniel Carr Sacagewa Brass Prototype ...one Of Only 450 Struck For Sale
For your consideration is this 2003-D brass prototype Sacagewa dollar, minted by Daniel Carr's Moonlight Mint. This prototype, 1 of only 450 struck, was Mr. Carr's 'entry' in the competition held for the new golden dollar. It is struck without the word 'Peace' on it, and has a plain edge. On the obverse is an image of Sacagewa, and on the reverse has Mr. Carr's version of the eagle. This prototype is developing a gorgeous orange/gold tone on the outer periphery on both the obverse and reverse. No distracting marks, and just a great loooking prototype (many believe it is much nicer than the existing Sacagewa dollar). It comes in a non-PVC flip, with Mr. Carr's signature on the 'cert', and is struck with a proof-like finish. It will be shipped in a brand new, clean/clear flip. My images just can't bring out the absolute gorgeous proof-like surfaces on this prototype, as the obverse image makes it look dull, but it is absolutely not (if you don't agree that this is a very proof-like strike, and believe it is dull, I will cover your return shipping, that's how honest I am with the difference between my image and when it is in hand...you'll just love this piece, and the more it tones, the more gorgeous it's going to become, and with the ever-rising premium on toned coins, silver rounds, copper coins, and even clad coins, this will be a killer in the future!!!! No need to speed up the toning process, or 'AT'ing' it, it looks great as it sits now. This prototype CAN be submitted to ANACS for grading, as Mr. Carr and ANACS entered into an agreement where ANACS WILL slab Mr. Carr's tokens/medals/prototypes,with his signature on the reverse of the slab, exactly like the 2008-D Grabener Press token I have listed). The reverse image I took is a bit darker at the bottom, but that was the only shot I could get the orange toning to show...took a number of images before I could get one that shows the toning...you WILL love this prototype!). You CAN see just a bit of the orange toning at the bottom of the reverse that surrounds the periphery on BOTH the obverse and reverse (I love it so much, I don't know why I'm selling it, but using it towards my new series I'm collecting). Though my lousy images make this prototype look 'dull', this really is a shining proof-like strike on both sides (when I say 'shiny', I do NOT mean shiny from cleaning...this prototype has been in a safe since purchasing it. This really is just a nicely struck prototype, and is exactly as a proof 'coin' should look), making it a great piece of numismatic/exonumia history (this is one design the U.S. Mint SHOULD have used, instead of the 'Chuck-E-Cheese'-like token that the Sacs and Presidential dollars resemble). Winning buyer to add $5 for Priority 'small box' shipping, including insurance and tracking through the insurance tag #. Paypal is my preferred method of payment. I do combine shipping, so please wait for a revised invoice, if you decide to purchase this wonderful piece. Again, if you do not agree with my description of it being a glossy, proof-like piece, as I said, I'll cover your shipping back to me, not costing you one red cent if you do not agree with me that this is a gorgeous piece. Please feel free to check out my other items, most graded by approved TPG co's, and a few raw coins as well. Shipping to the U.S. ONLY (sorry).
