Gilded & Coloured Rooster Design

This Australian Lunar silver coin celebrates the Year of the Rooster. The reverse of this coin depicts a a rooster with a rising sun and a camellia, a Chinese native plant. These elements are surrounded by a border of bats and clouds, symbolizing health, peace and prosperity. The rooster is gilded in 24-carat gold, while the bats are coloured bronze and the clouds coloured orange. The design also includes the year-date and the Chinese character for \'rooster\'.
