20.5" Antique GERMAN Papier Mache Glass Sleep/Cloth Body
An adorable circa 1890 German Composition girl, in excellent
condition on original pink cloth body with composition lower limbs, has a sweet smile with upper teeth, and blue spiral glass sleep eyes. She is 20 ½” tall, wood-wool stuffed, and most likely made by Schilling. Her perfect face has heavy brows are feathered, painted lashes surround her eyes, and she has rosy cheeks (there are a few craze-lines across the back of her shoulders, and faint craze-lines on back-side of right leg). The broiderie Anglaise dress has a drop-waist and peplum over-skirt, and her long curls wig looks like human hair; from original-owner, non-smoking home. (R)
