21" ANTIQUE ROCOCO BRASS FRENCH MANTEL CLOCK W/PORCELAIN - JAPY FRERES
A wonderful, antique solid brassrococo French mantel clock with hand painted porcelain dial, insert, and finial. The brass works are signed "Japy Freres"with a circular medallion and the dial is stamped by retailer "A. Flinois, 7 Rue Froissard, Paris". The lovely 4"dial has a painted flying cherub above tambourine and torch, the reserve panel below (3"x4") has lovers in landscape, and the large porcelain finial has scene with a large country home. Overall size is 21" tall x 12"wide x 5.5" deep. This is an 8 day time and strike clock but bell and arm will have to be adjusted. The clock springs are fine when wound and it will tick away but there is no pendulum to test it fully (one hand is missing and other loose on the dial). The case is in very good condition (could use a polish) with classical masks, lion heads, arabesques, etc. and having 2 fancy side supports(one slightly bent). Comes with key. Circa 1880. Sold "as found" in local estate, with a bit of work this will be a fabulous centerpiece for your home or shop! Weighs about 17 lbs. before packaging. PLEASE SEE MY OTHER CLOCKS ON sale NOW.

Shipping Shipping is generally by USPS priority mail unless other methods are specified or agreed upon by both parties. Insurance is included on all purchases. We sell unique items, therefore packaged weight may change causing final shipping cost to vary somewhat from the specified ship cost. We do NOT profit on shipping fees but simply strive to cover our costs. We do combine multiple item purchases if possible. In the unlikely event of damage or loss in shipping, buyer agrees to work with seller to file claim in a timely fashion. LOCAL PICKUP IN BROCKTON, MA is available also. International shipments: Insurance is also required. Please don't ask us to change the facts on custom forms. However, our merchandise is generally antique or used so may show some minor signs of wear that is typical from use and that is not specifically mentioned. We accept returns only on grossly mis-described items or on pieces that have significant damage not pointed out in the listing. Light spots in photographs are usually glare from photography. In the case of a refund, the purchase price plus one-way shipping will be remitted to buyer. Buyer's remorse is NOT a reason for refund.
