22-26in Dec 1872 French Fashion Doll Clothes Patterns - Raincoat, Wedding Gown For Sale
Pattern Book For Dolls
December 7, 1872
"La Mode Illustree"
For 22 - 26 Inch Dolls
8 1/2" by 11" Pattern book contains patterns for 3 outfits to fit 22-26" Dolls.
- Wedding Dress
- Walking Dress
Comb bound book with clear plastic covers with patterns on 8 1/2" by 11" pages and 11" by 17".
The original magazines came with full pattern sheets measuring 24" by 36" with up to 70 different pattern pieces superimposed one on another. Similar to the one shown below.
I scanned these sheets and separated each pattern piece so the pattern pieces now look like this
I then translated them, wrote directions, added any missing pieces, (La Mode Illustree is notorious for not including skirt patterns and using one sleeve pattern for 4 different designs) and bound them into books.
Since these are virtually the same cut as the antiques I recommend you fit them to your doll. Dolls of the past as well as the present were made of different materials and had different measurements. Antique dolls were made of cloth, leather, wood, and other materials. Modern dolls are also made of wood, compo and other materials. I wanted to keep them as true to the originals as possible.
I'm more than happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases.
Please wait for the discounted invoice with all your items to make your payment.
