DESCRIPTION:
Here is a \"beautiful\" German Kestner Bride doll for your consideration. I do not know her past history but will describe her the best I can with any flaws. This is a bisque shoulder head incised on the back of her head \"11, 148\". Reference attributes to J.D. Kestner in 1891 + Germany. Doll is a bisque shoulder head, bisque arms, fingers intact with worn kid leather body. The inner fingers of the left hand show restoration. Body is gusseted at the hips and knees. Overall wear on this body, some stains, restoration, for being 100 years old but all together it displays well with a doll stand. This doll has a \"gorgeous\" face with open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, worn wax on the eye lids, she has painted lashes around the eyes, painted dark brown brows, open mouth with upper teeth, there is a faint little dimple in her chin. Auburn strawberry blonde saran wig slips over a plaster pate on her head. There is a old line crack on the back of her head (it looks like a pencil mark), see photo. Head is all together intact but need to mention. Doll wears a charming vintage gown with veil, slip, pantaloons, stockings and shoes. There is a necklace around her neck. This \"lovely\" old Bride doll is not perfect, has some flaws but does displays well. She would be a \"Treasure\" for your collection or display! I have taken plenty of photos.
