Reference "Warmans Dolls Field Guide, Dawn H. shows a mold 1894 doll in similar dress on page 337".I do not know her pasthistory but will try to describe this doll with any flaws the best I can. Measures just under 23" tall beinga bisqueshoulder head, bisque hands from elbows down with fingers intact on kid leather body, lower legs from knee down are cloth. Body shows some wear, sewing restoration at shoulders, rips on the kid leather around the shoulder head areas but isall intact. She has a absolutely "beautiful" face with deep blue clear paperweight eyes, red accent dots in the corner of her eyes and nostrils, painted black lashes around her eyes, brown feathered brows and open mouth with upper teeth intact. Lovely blush on her very "near perfect" little face. I flashed inside her head and see no cracks or hairlines. Her original blonde mohair wig is charming with a bow on each side, some wear it is secure on a pate with piece of hair through the center of the pate as sometimes you find on these older dolls. Heroriginal offwhite cottonand lace trim dress has rips throughout the left sleeve and body of the dress, there is a half slip, stockings and shoes.Clothing is charming and so very old but "will require"sewing restorations if this is possible. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
