Lovely, antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in NorthEastern Ohio. It\'s made of solid pine and features 4 recessed panels with no molding (shaker style)..
When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don\'t have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.Height :The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4", most likely tocompensate for a settling foundation or a warped floor. We could evenly cut the door, or adjust it to fit your opening--email us for a quote.Hardware: Aside for a mortise lock, the door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door (check out our store).

Condition: On the interior side of the door, the edge of the lock housing is chipped.Otherwise, this door is in very good shape with only surface scrapes, scratches,small nail holes--minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish.See the last photos in this sale as an example of our work.Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we\'ll give you a quote.
Swing:The door is currently set up to swing inwards, towards the left. However, we can modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--Email us for a quote.
