28" Boudoir Doll, Beautiful Painted Face, Mohair Wig, Factory Heels, Clean, Ex For SaleHere is a very lovely composition head Boudoir doll that was kept in storage all her life. When I bought her, the man told me he got it for his wife as a wedding gift back in the 1930`s. I think he got it in France, anyway the doll`s name is Yvonne as shown on her back cloth. She was kept in a large shoe box wrapped in loads of tissue paper for decades. I bought her at an estate sale about 12 years ago and kept her in more tissue paper in hopes of designing her an elaborate dress. I even stored some antique fabrics somewhere. Since I can not find them, I am listing her without any clothes. I did find an antique set of doll undergaments and will list them separately. They are really meant for an 18" doll, not for the long, long legs of this doll.
So, she is stuffed with cotton kapok and looks so new, there are just a couple of splits in the fabric on her back that need stitching up. Her composition face is nearly flawless, factory fresh painted features without wear or rubs. When I look through a magnifying glass I can see fine craze lines, but not with my naked eye. I thought she was perfectly smooth looking and the luster of her complexion is beautiful! She has a very pretty wig with some glue marks along the temple areas that are factory. Her neck is wrapped in a factory ribbon that is super crisp champagne colored organdy. The neck shows no splits of any kind, this head is in super excellent condition as is the body. To my surprise I found the factory oil cloth gold painted heels in the box too. They fit her feet, but I think her feet need a little massaging to adjust the cotton towards her toes, her heels are a little fat. What else can I say except I will miss her, she is a stunning lady. Also, she does not have any odor, she is clean smelling, not musty even. It`s rare to find a stored away 80 year old cloth doll looking so clean! Shipping is via USPS Priority Mail.
