2x 19th Century Antonius Stradivarius Copy 4/4 Violins Czechoslovakia Dual Case:
I am not an expert but these two violins are obviously very old and I am selling them with . I am guessing late 19th century but maybe early 20th century, not much newer in my opinion. The lighter one is in the best shape with one thin hairline crack and a small chip on the head along with multiple other nicks, the darker one has a couple larger hairline cracks and appears to have been gone over with a dark varnish a very long time ago, both are very restorable and should play well with a little TLC. Both have various degrees of wear but a little time with a Luthier and they could both be brought to a higher level, they were obviously played a LOT. They come in the very old dual case along with the accessories shown in the photos including three, NOS strings from around a century ago. The wax in the tin has basically turned to amber and is hard as a rock but a cool tin it's in. There are three chin rests, two made in Germany, four old bows and a couple shoulder pads. The bows are nothing to get excited about but there may be a keeper in there, one is shorter and fatter than the others and one is quite a bit newer than the rest, in fact, I just threw it in the case since I've had it laying around for a few years. The label in the lighter colored violin is fully intact, the other is half gone (see photos). I think they are both Czech but not positive on the darker one because half the label is gone. Because I know practically nothing about violins, I'm not going to try endlessly describing them, please email me with your questions and I'll do my best to answer them. The case is solid and actually pretty nice inside, missing the original handle...
