DESCRIPTION:
We are pleased to offer you this \"beautiful\" larger size German bisque head doll. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"S & H, 1079, Germany, DEP and 14\". Reference attributes to German maker 1890+ Simon & Halbig, Simon & Halbig are know for their high quality bisque head dolls. DEP is a registered claim or trade mark used by both the French and Germans. This doll measures just under 30\" tall being a bisque socket head on nicely strung, composition wood doll body. Body has the original finish with overall wear, scuffs for being 100 or so years old, a good German body. Doll is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees. Fingers all together intact with repair on the right hand little finger and left hand finger. This doll has a \"Gorgeous\" face with open and close brown glass sleepy eyes that work fine, painted black lashes around the eyes, retains most wax on the eye lids, brush stroked brown brows, beautiful coloring on her \"perfect\" face with open mouth, defined lips and upper teeth. There is a faint little dimple in her chin. Doll has pierced ears and wears pink earrings. I flashed inside her bisque head and do not see any cracks or hairlines, there is plaster cement that was used to secure the sleepy eyes on rocker as most doll people do. She wears a Victorian style dark blonde replacement wig that slips nicely over her head. Turn of the Century dress is lovely with lace and embroidery accents throughout. Is is in nice vintage shape, a few tiny stains, nothing terrible, with safety pin closure down the back. She wears slip, pantaloons, stockings and light green leather shoes with silver buckles. Some overall wear but charming. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
