Up for sale is an absolutely beautiful set of china by Gibson Housewares in the Golden Legacy Scalloped trim pattern.
The china is in excellent condition and it has no chips or cracks or crazing and the gold trim band that goes around the pieces and accents the cup handles and etc is in really great condition.
The set is for 32 pieces which if sold separately would be a lot more so as a set are a very good value.
The set includes 8 each 10 1/2\" dinner plates which have a gold band around the outside edge as well as just below the rim as well.
6 each 7\" salad or bread plates that have the outside rim gold band as well as just below the rim too.
2 each 8\" soup or salad bowls which also have the 2 bands of gold, 6 each 6\" saucers with just the outside band of gold.
6 each coffee or tea cups with a band of gold at the top, beneath the body of the cup and on the handle,
1 each large oval platter that is 13 1/4\" x 9\" and only has the outer band of gold edging. The sugar bowl with lid that is 7\" wide x 5\" tall with banding at the top of the sugar bowl, on the handles and under the body of the bowl.
There is a gold starburst on the top of the lid knob. 1 each creamer that is 4\" tall by 5 1/2\" wide with banding at the top edge, below the body and on the handle.
This set would be a nice addition or a great start to a nice china set.
I am a very good packer of breakables so do not worry about that.
The set is in excellent condition and is very beautiful.
