(37) Pc. Arthur Salm Austria Stainless Flatware Eames Mid-century Modern Design For Sale

Up for sale is this (37) piece set of stainless steel flatware designed in 1953 by Sam Bordelon for Arthur Salm of Austria. The modernist design won the "Good Design Award" in 1953. The set consists of (8) 4 piece place settings, (2) servers and a (3) piece cocktail set. The (8) 4 piece place settings consist of (8) 5 3/4" long by 1 3/8" wide teaspoons, (8) 7 3/8" long by 1 5/8" wide tablespoons, (8) 7 13/16" long by 15/16" wide 4 tine dinner forks and (8) 8 3/4" long by 11/16" wide dinner knives. The servers consist of (2) 9 3/4" long by 2 5/16" wide servers (one is slotted). The cocktail set consists of (1) 10 1/16" long by 11/16" wide cocktail stirrer, (1) 8 1/8" long by 5/8" wide cheese knife and (1) 6 7/8" long by 1 9/16" wide can opener. All pieces are marked "AS Stainless Austria". The condition of all the pieces is very good/good with no breaks or bends. There are scratches on all the pieces from everyday usage.
Also included, but not pictured, is an additional (3) teaspoons, (2) dinner forks and (4) dinner knives.
